Well done to Class 3 from Durham Trinity School and Sports College for WINNING the recent art competition sponsored by Ecocleen.
The competition was all part of the recent celebration for opening of the schools new premises and facilities which included the formal opening by former Paralympian Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.
The theme of the competition was “ideas and innovations to make the world more eco-friendly”.
After reviewing many innovative and inspiring submissions put forward by the students, Mike Tewnion of Ecocleen Tees Valley awarded £100 of Amazon Vouchers to Durham Class Year 3 for their fantastic poster (as seen below) of a Solar Powered Plane with the resounding slogan of ‘Clean Cleanly’.
Mike was delighted to sponsor the competition and loved the innovation on show by the students, admitting it was difficult to choose a winner from so many fantastic entries. Mike said “it is fantastic to see the children get involved and express their ideas in pictures and drawings. There were so many excellent entries but my favourite was definitely the solar powered plane included in the winner’s picture. Even more exciting was being able to come in, present the award during an assembly and meet the students personally.”
